The Singapore Grand Prix is touted as the biggest sporting event in Asia and has been successfully hosted every year since its inception.
The fans will be able to enjoy access to several areas by purchasing one ticket. The F1 action in Singapore will also be followed by the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and the JK Racing Asia Series. Singapore Tightens Rule For Foreign Workers

Starting January 2012, a foreigner in Singapore will need to make SGD 3,000 or more per month to qualifying for an employment pass (EP). The Singapore Government has made this rule to widen work options for residents, as the foreign workforce will be cut down to one-third, informs the Ministry of Manpower. The change will also help raise the salaries of the locals, as they progress in their careers and will no longer be disadvantaged by EP holders working at lower wages.
Foreigners not qualifying for the EP can continue to work in Singapore but their employers will be subject to various quotas and levies. The rule will not affect those holding a permanent residency status.
Currently, foreigners account for 35% of the population in Singapore. This is because Singapore serves as a regional headquarter for several banks and multinational firms. Hence, the requirement for mid-level staff endorsed by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is not well accepted by employer groups like the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and Singapore Business Federation.
