The Singapore Fortress is one of the monuments found in Singapore that uncovers a part of Singapore history. It was originally built by the British during World War II as a way to protect unguarded areas near the ocean. Now however, it has been preserved as part history. You will see where the Japanese attacked, 3 zones which were used to protect Singapore and the sea attacks that came during the war.
Generally, many tourists come and visit the Singapore Fortress to come to a closer understanding of what and how things were during a time of war. It has become one of the popular attractions for individuals, encourage the ever growing Singapore tourism for the past decade or so.
